Camp Timberlane Canada

Camp Timberlane is a residential summer camp located in the Haliburton Highlands in Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1958 by Barry and Philomena Lowes. The site is located on a private lake, Lake of Two Islands, 2½ hours north of Toronto.

In 2006, Corey Mandell, CEO of Mandell Entertainment bought Camp Timberlane and is the current owner-director. In his own words, he is striving to protect and maintain the "Spirit, Integrity, and Tradition" of Timberlane.

Some Notable Alumni

Over the years, Timberlane has been home to thousands of children from around the world. Some of the alumni who are on the camp's wall of fame have also earned international recognition:

• Lorne Michaels of Saturday Night Live and The Kids in the Hall attended Timberlane as a camper where he participated in several "rec hall" productions.
• Howard Shore, an Academy Award-winning composer, also attended Timberlane as a camper and counsellor.^[1]
• Leonard Dick who is known for work on television's Lost and House; the latter winning him a Writer's Guild of America award.
• Brent Buckman, who was on Season 5 of The Apprentice, also attended Timberlane as a camper.

Accreditations and Affiliations

Camp Timberlane is a member of the Ontario Camping Association (OCA) and also the Canadian Camping Association (CCA). Timberlane also has close relationships with; The Ontario Tennis Association and Tennis Canada, as well as The Red Cross Swim Programs.
